Well known as a very comprehensive center for horse enthusiasts, Green Acres Equestrian Center, LLC, offers an array of services for both children and adults. We have a well established hunter-jumper lesson program for all ages and levels. Some riders prefer to master English equitation or dressage rather than jumping. Our professional trainers enjoy starting out beginner riders and developing them to the show level, or welcoming transfers. Adult beginner riders also enjoy the peacefulness at Green Acres. Barn shows and local shows are offered, but are optional.
In addition, we are the proud home of HORSE TALK, a PATH-I Therapeutic Riding Center, founded in 2002, helping special needs riders make tremendous strides in improving their lives through therapeutic horse riding. Adult volunteers are always welcomed.
A variety of other amenities are offered. These include several youth programs including Pony Talk for toddlers, Preschool Pony Madness for preschoolers, an eager group of elementary aged riders, a Middle School I.E.A. team, and lastly Lassiter High School's Middle School and High School's I.E.A. (Interscholastic Equestrian Association) Teams, which permit other Green Acres riders to join, if their own school does not have a team. During the summer months, we host three summer camps. Year round birthday parties are held. New programs are being developed to meet the changing needs of adolescents and young adults with special needs.
Green Acres remains a quiet, peaceful haven for horse lovers, as all its programs are professionally managed and highly organized.
